Elissa has her BFA in Photography from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
In 2016, she received the Peter's Valley Craft Education Center Award.
In 2017, she received The Innova Art Ltd. / Shades of Paper, Inc. Award for Digital Printing. Elissa also received The Jeannine Vannais Promising Photographer Grant. Both were won for her Overlooked series. Read about the Overlooked series here.
In 2018, she had a gallery showing of her project Rivertown as a part of the Alumni Exhibition at The University of the Arts.
